Two standouts from the Philippine Rally and Rallycross Series were recognized for their exceptional performances during the 29th Annual Motorsports Awards hosted by the Automobile Association Philippines (AAP) at the Celebrity Sports Plaza.
Louie Camacho emerged as one of the evening’s biggest winners, earning the prestigious Driver of the Year honors in both Rally and Rallycross. Camacho’s dominance in the 2024 Philippine Rallycross Championships saw him secure multiple titles, including:
- Group 2 Overall Champion
- Group 3 Overall Champion
- UV Class Champion
- Pick-up Class Champion
“It’s an honor and a blessing to receive this award for the second time. I thank those who helped me and those who have supported the series because if not for you, I would not be here to begin with,” said Camacho.
“I would also like to express my utmost gratitude to AAP for this recognition. Your continued support paves the road for those who love the sport. This award is an incredible honor and blessing, I’m thankful to everyone who helped me along the way. Without the support of my team, sponsors, and the community, none of this would be possible,” he added.
Camacho is supported by his sponsors, namely, Project O, Zidcar, Jabbre Motocom, Ryzen Helmet, Nitto Tires Philippines, Method Race Wheels, and others.

In a historic moment for Philippine motorsports, John Rey San Diego was named the AAP’s first-ever “Rally Co-Driver of the Year.” San Diego, who partnered with Camacho throughout the rally season, expressed heartfelt appreciation for the recognition.
“Being honored for co-driving is something I never expected. I’ve always admired WRC growing up, and to now be recognized in this role is truly humbling,” San Diego said. “Thanks to AAP for highlighting the importance of co-drivers and to Louie Camacho — a world-class driver — for trusting me to navigate with him.”
The AAP Motorsports Awards is an annual event that honors the top Filipino motorsport athletes and contributors who have displayed excellence, discipline, and passion throughout the racing season.
