MG Philippines recently added two new vehicles to its local lineup. After the preview at the last MIAS, the MG G50 Plus MPV and MG G3 are now officially available.
MG3
The MG3 is a competitively priced B-Segment hatchback with a hybrid option as the top-of-the-line variant. This is the first HEV variant in its class and one of the most affordable in our current market.
The MG3 offers a seamless blend of sleek exterior design and classy interior features, setting new standards for style and functionality. On the outside, it boasts a modern aesthetic with LED/Halogen headlamps, 16-in alloy wheels, and power-folding mirrors, ensuring a striking presence on the road. Inside, the MG3 exudes elegance as it features a leather-style interior, a leather-wrapped steering wheel for enhanced driving comfort, and a range of entertainment options, highlighted by a 10.25-inch infotainment screen, providing a refined driving experience for drivers and passengers.
The MG3 comes with an array of convenience and safety features that help make the roads safer for drivers, passengers, and other road users. Safety and convenience features include push-button ignition, reverse parking sensors, an electric parking brake, four-wheel disc brakes, and a 360-degree-view camera. It is also equipped with MG’s Pilot Advance Driver Assist System, which includes features such as adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, and pre-collision warning,
Under the hood, the MG3 boasts a powerful and efficient 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine that produces 120 PS power and 150 Nm torque. It is available with both manual and automatic transmissions.
The top trim MG3 is a first-in-class hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) that produces 190 PS of power and 250 Nm of torque. The dedicated hybrid engine uses advanced technologies and an ultra-efficient 3-speed hybrid transmission, allowing for an effortless drive, intuitively delivering the best combination of electric and gasoline for maximum power and efficiency.

MG G50 Plus
Those looking for a bigger vehicle may want to consider the MG G50 Plus. Dubbed the MPV Champion, the G50 Plus enters the market with the biggest bang for your buck offering in its segment.
The all-new MG G50 Plus boasts features typically found in higher-end models but with a friendlier price tag. It offers ample room for families and large groups, comfortable seating, and convenient features. Safety is also a priority, with safety features that include airbags, ABS with EBD, and a rearview camera system.
The G50 Plus features premium exterior design elements. Upfront, an elegant front grille design combined with the LED/Halogen headlamp combination gives the G50 Plus a welcoming first impression. On the side, it features 16-inch alloy wheels (for the STD and COM variants) that give it a stylish yet commanding stance given its dimensions. For the LUX variant, upgrades such as 17-inch alloy wheels and a roof rail provide additional aesthetic yet functional improvements.
Stepping in the G50 Plus allows you to experience unparalleled comfort. The STD and COM models feature an 8-seater configuration with a 2+3+3 layout. Alternatively, the LUX variant has a 7-seater configuration highlighted by two captain seats in the second row and a full leather-style interior. Entertainment is courtesy of a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment display supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a six-speaker sound system.
The G50 Plus’ safety features include an anti-lock brake system, hill hold control on automatic transmission models, an electronic stability program, and many more that complement the parking sensors, reverse camera, cruise control, EPB with auto brake hold, and a push-button ignition system that are standard across all trims.
The G50 Plus is powered by a 1.5L turbo mill that produces 181PS of power and 280Nm of torque. Customers can also choose between a six-speed automatic or a seven-speed “wet-type” dual-clutch transmission.
