Modena Motorsports Inc., the official distributor of Maserati in the Philippines, has launched the new Maserati Grecale, the second SUV offered by the luxury marque.

“Grecale embodies a perfect blend of sportiness and sophistication,” said Takayuki Kimura, Head of Maserati Asia Pacific. “As the inaugural offering for a new segment of Maserati, we are very excited to bring Grecale to the Philippines to turn everyday journeys into extraordinary driving experiences.”

“As a product of tradition, innovation, and concrete vision, Grecale ushers in a luxurious new standard for its class,” said Sam Versoza, President of Modena Motorsports, Inc., the official Maserati importer, and dealer in the Philippines. “We at Modena Motorsports Inc. are beyond elated to deliver Grecale to our shores, and with it, a new driving experience that takes the elegance, style, and performance of a Maserati to a bold, new direction.”

The Grecale was launched with two trims available: the four-cylinder mild hybrid 300hp GT; and the powerful Trofeo, equipped with a high-performance 3.0L 530-hp petrol V6 based on the Nettuno engine fitted to the MC20. The Modena, with a four-cylinder 330-hp mild hybrid engine, and the limited edition PrimaSerie Launch Edition featuring exclusive content, will be available for indent ordering.

Completing the range will be Maserati’s first 100% electric SUV with 400V technology, the Grecale Folgore, which will be available in a few months.

The Grecale boasts best-in-class levels of interior space, drivability, handling, sound quality, and extensive use of fine materials such as wood, carbon fiber, and leather. The Trofeo trim accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 3.8 seconds, with speeds reaching 285 km/h.

GT version measures 4,846 mm long with a wheelbase of 2,901 mm, a height of 1,670 mm, a width of 2,163 mm (including wing mirrors), with a rear wheel track of 1,948 mm (and even greater in the Trofeo).

The design of Grecale embraces Maserati’s new visual signature, which is present in every new model since the MC20. The front features a low and imposing grille, while the rear has boomerang taillights that were inspired by the Giugiaro 3200 GT.

In the cabin, Maserati’s traditional clock face is digital for the first time, and it transforms into a veritable in-car concierge, courtesy of voice control. Everything is controlled from large displays: a 12.3-inch central screen, a secondary 8.8-inch display for the extra controls, and a third one for the rear passengers.

The Grecale features an all-around sound experience courtesy of an immersive Sonus Faber 3D sound system. This system includes up to 21 speakers on demand at the High Premium level.

The new Grecale is fitted with the new, 100% Maserati Vehicle Dynamic Control Module (VDCM) system which offers various drive modes: Comfort, GT, Sport, Corsa (for the Trofeo only), and Off-Road.

Developed at the Maserati Innovation Lab in Modena, the new SUV is produced at the Stellantis Cassino Assembly plant in the province of Frosinone, Italy.

The Maserati Grecale GT Mild Hybrid is priced at Php 8.5M
