The Honda CR-V received two distinguished safety-related awards at the recent ASEAN NCAP (ASEAN New Car Assessment Program) Grand Prix Awards 2018 held in Karawang, Indonesia.
The 5th generation Honda CR-V, which has been awarded a 5-Star ASEAN NCAP safety rating, was selected as the safest car in the SUV car category in Child Occupant Protection (COP). The all-new CR-V made its ASEAN debut in Thailand in March 2017 and has since expanded sales to eight other countries, with over 70,000 units sold across the region. It is worthy to note is that the model also received several prestigious awards in the ASEAN including Thailand Car of the Year 2017; CAGI’s Philippines Car of the Year 2017; Indonesia’s FORWOT’s Car of the Year 2017; as well as Malaysia’s Carlist’s Car of the Year 2017.
The CR-V also won the “ASEAN NCAP Excellent Award – Consistent 5 Star” for its excellence and continuous 5-Star ASEAN NCAP safety rating for both the 4th and 5th generation of this popular and well-accepted SUV model.
