GWM Philippines, through its official distributor Luxuriant Automotive Group, Inc. (LAGI), made a significant impact at the 2025 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS), showcasing its latest lineup of vehicles aimed at redefining the automotive landscape in the country.

Upgraded 2025 GWM Cannon Pickup
As promised, the brand launched the upgraded GWM Cannon pickup during its MIAS opening program. Known in other markets as the GWM Poer, the latest iteration boasts enhanced powertrains and refined aesthetics, positioning it as a formidable contender in the competitive pickup segment.
The 2025 Cannon’s exterior features black-out trim pieces, such as the grille, side mirror caps, wheel arch extensions, and bumper accents, in place of chrome. A sports bar in the bed, black door handles, a modified tailgate that boldly shows the “G W M” insignia, a new set of LED headlights, and a revamped front bumper with redesigned fog lights are also added to the pickup truck.
The upgrades continue inside the cabin. On the dash are two screens: one for the digital instrument cluster and another for the touchscreen infotainment system, which features wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, along with GWM Voice Command Assistance. Other features include a wireless charging pad, dual-zone climate control with rear vents, leather seats with front ventilated seats, USB-A and USB-C charging ports, a drive mode select system, and a new leather-wrapped multi-function steering wheel.
A larger but more efficient 2.4L turbo-diesel engine with 161 PS and 400 Nm of torque powers the vehicle. The vehicle pairs the larger engine with a new 9-speed automatic gearbox and a clever torque-on-demand 4WD system. In terms of safety, its suite of advanced driver assist systems (ADAS) includes adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking, curve-speed adaption, and lane-keeping assist.
The new Cannon is available in two trims: the 2025 GWM Cannon Lux 4×4 AT, priced at P 1,348,000, and the 2025 GWM Cannon SLux 4×4 AT, priced at P 1,498,000. It comes with a 7-year or 200,000 km bumper-to-bumper warranty and a 10-year or 1,000,000 km warranty on the powertrain.
