In its ongoing quest to showcase performance, safety, and lifestyle through unforgettable journeys, Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) took the all-new 2025 Isuzu mu-X on an extraordinary adventure in Palawan. This trip was more than just a drive; it was an invitation to experience the magic of the Philippines through the lens of a vehicle designed for explorers, families, and professionals alike.
The adventure began in Puerto Princesa City, where media participants were flown in to kick off a memorable multi-day journey. After a delightful lunch featuring local delicacies—including Crocodile Sisig, which surprisingly tasted like chicken—the group set off on the long road trip. Covering over 270 kilometers via the scenic Puerto Princesa North Road, we traveled across diverse terrain, crossing the towns of San Vicente and Taytay before arriving in the breathtaking town of El Nido just in time for a late supper.

From the very beginning, the new mu-X demonstrated its capabilities. Like ts D-Max sibling, it thrives under pressure—and with four adults and all our luggage on board—it performed flawlessly during the more than 6-hour drive through ever-changing dry and wet roads, even under torrential rain.
“The 2025 Isuzu mu‑X is our most advanced model to date. It’s equipped with exceptional performance, advanced safety, and everyday conveniences that are ideal for busy professionals and families alike. What better way to demonstrate its capabilities than through a drive across one of the most beautiful parts of the Philippines?” said IPC President, Mikio Tsukui.

Whether cruising along Palawan’s coastal highways or winding through the mountain twisties, the mu-X delivered both power and confidence. Its 4JJ3-TCX engine, producing 190 PS and 450 Nm of torque, allowed the drivers to navigate varied terrains with effortless control. Features like adaptive cruise control and refined handling made the trip more enjoyable, allowing everyone on board to make the journey less about travel and more about exploration.
Inside, the mu-X offers a premium environment designed for comfortable adventure. Its spacious 7-seater layout is perfect for families or groups of friends setting out for a weekend escape. With generous legroom, ample luggage space, and thoughtfully positioned cup holders, the SUV combines utility with leisure.

Despite being surrounded by Palawan’s natural beauty, staying connected was effortless. The 2025 Isuzu mu-X comes fully equipped with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a sleek 10.1-inch infotainment system—perfect for navigating through the remote backroads. The wireless charging pad kept devices powered up for capturing the scenery or planning the next stop.
Confidence behind the wheel was essential, especially in unfamiliar terrain. The mu-X’s 5-star safety suite—including the Gen4 SMART Duo Camera with Advanced Driver Assist System (ADAS), 360-degree Around View Monitor (AVM), and the first-in-class Digital Video Recorder (DVR)—safeguarded the journey and encouraged the drivers to push the capabilities of the vehicle with peace of mind.

Reflecting on the trip, Tsukui shared that the experience was his first time joining an Isuzu media test drive since joining the company earlier this year. “It was a wonderful experience discovering the beauty of the Philippines aboard the new Isuzu mu‑X. It made every view more breathtaking and every stop more memorable.” Once again, the Isuzu mu-X proved to be a dependable and versatile partner on the road—whether for long trips, quick getaways, family adventures, or work excursions. It’s more than just an SUV; it’s a trusted companion ready to guide you to your next destination.
