BYD Cars Philippines, a subsidiary of ACMobility, has officially launched the highly anticipated BYD Shark 6 DMO. A groundbreaking entry into the Philippine pickup truck market, this addition to BYD’s cutting-edge lineup promises to change the game for Filipino drivers.

This technology allows the Shark 6 DMO to effortlessly switch between electric and fuel power modes to adapt to any driving condition.
Powered by a 29.6kWh BYD Blade Battery and a 1.5T onboard generator, its dual electric motors help the Shark 6 DMO produce an impressive combined output of 430 HP and 650 Nm of torque—making it one of the most powerful pickups in its class.

A true standout and a pickup like no other, the BYD Shark 6 DMO strikes a perfect balance between spartan strength and modern sophistication.
Built on a Cell-to-Chassis framework, the Shark 6 DMO uses the proprietary Blade Battery as an integral part of the vehicle’s ladder frame and safety structure. This enhances the Shark 6 DMO’s rigidity and safety.
Its bold, muscular stance is highlighted by a commanding front grille that showcases the BYD mega symbol, LED headlights, and connected daytime running lights. Sleek, clean lines that enhance aesthetics and performance give the Shark 6 DMO a strong and commanding presence. The two-tone 18-inch alloy wheels, standard for both variants, complement its modern styling by providing traction and emphasizing its off-road readiness.
Designed for both rough terrain and cityscapes, the electrified “lifestyle” pickup boasts a remarkable 230 mm ground clearance and a 700 mm wading depth, allowing it to traverse challenging landscapes with ease, from uneven off-road paths to flooded streets. This functionality, combined with robust materials, positions it as a flexible vehicle ready for any journey.
With a payload capacity of 835 kg and a towing capacity of 2,500 kg, the BYD Shark 6 DMO is well-suited for many adventures that require hauling gear and cargo.
For improved stability and ride comfort, the Shark 6 DMO is equipped with front and rear double wishbone suspension, a combination not normally found in pickups. This provides a smoother riding experience, whether on straights or corners, on and off the road.
The Shark 6 DMO also offers three drive modes—Eco, Normal, and Sport—and multi-terrain modes like Sand, Mud, and Snow to adapt to various driving conditions and preferences.
Inside the BYD Shark 6 DMO, the cabin blends premium materials with a minimalist design, with leather seats accentuated by striking orange highlights affording a smooth ride. Comfort is prioritized with a 6-way power-adjustable driver seat and 4-way lumbar support in the Premium model, allowing for a customized driving position. Seat heating and ventilation for the two front seats are standard in the Premium trim.
Passenger space efficiency and comfort have been enhanced in the BYD Shark 6 DMO. Rear seatbacks in the backseat are reclined by 27 degrees. Along with the cabin’s expansive knee room, this seating configuration ensures a more relaxing posture for rear passengers over long drives.
At the heart of the modern yet functional interior is a 12.8-inch rotating touchscreen display that seamlessly integrates with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Both variants come equipped with an 8-speaker sound system, providing an immersive audio experience that takes advantage of the cabin’s low noise, vehicle, and harshness (NVH) figures.
Safety and Comfort
The BYD Shark 6 DMO is equipped with a wide range of standard safety features, including Cruise Control, a 360-degree View Camera, Front and Rear Sensors, Vehicle Dynamic Control, Hill Hold Control, Hill Descent System and a Tire Pressure Monitoring System. The Premium variant elevates safety further with Adaptive Cruise Control, Automatic Emergency Braking, Blind Spot Detection, Lane Departure Warning, and a Heads-Up Display, ensuring peace of mind for every driver.

Pricing and availability
The BYD Shark 6 DMO is priced at P2,098,000 for the Advanced variant and P2,298,000 for the Premium variant.
As an introductory offer, first-time BYD customers can avail of a P50K discount for purchases made on or before March 31, 2025. As an additional bonus, current BYD owners and those referred by current owners can get an additional P50K discount, for a total of P100K discount from SRP for the entire month of March.
Available color options include Deep Sea Blue, Cosmos Black, and Aurora White. Each Shark 6 DMO comes with an 8-year or 160,000 km warranty for the BYD Blade battery, an 8-year or 150,000 km warranty for the drive unit, and a 6-year or 150,000 km warranty for the vehicle.
