PGA Philippines, the exclusive importer and distributor of Porsche in the country for the past 27 years, celebrated 75 years of Porsche sports cars in Manila. The two-day “Festival of Dreams” was highlighted by the Philippine launch of the new Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid SUV as well as the groundbreaking ceremony of the new Porsche Center Manila.

The event was graced by His Excellency Dr. Andreas Michael Pfaffernoschke, German ambassador to the Philippines; Hannes Ruoff, CEO of Porsche Asia Pacific; Roberto Coyiuto III, President and CEO of Porsche Philippines; and Robert Coyiuto, Jr., founder and principal of PGA Cars.
The “Festival of Dreams” in Manila marks 75 years since the Porsche 356 “No. 1” roadster received its license to operate on the road on June 8, 1948. The model culminated Ferry Porsche’s commitment to create his own sports car dream and laid the foundation for what would become the Porsche legend. Seventy-five years later, the German marque continues to reinvent itself with the same pioneering spirit, honoring its heritage while at the same time looking ahead to an exciting future.

Porsche Center Manila
The soon-to-rise state-of-the-art Porsche Center Manila is located beside the current Porsche facilities along EDSA in Greenhills. Scheduled to be completed by 2026, the new space will feature the new Porsche corporate identity (CI), called “Destination Porsche,” and will occupy the first two floors of the 15-story building. It will become the main Porsche facility in the country and will house a bigger showroom that can display up to 12 of the latest Porsche models, an area for certified pre-owned units, a section for E-Performance, and the 911. The space will also have a lounge area and a kiddie area, integrate the corporate offices, expand the service capacity, and add a first-ever dedicated facility for fully electric Porsche vehicles.

Festival of Dreams
The Festival of Dreams drew hundreds of Porsche enthusiasts and fans to the PGA Cars facilities, with numerous rare models on display and test drives available for current models. The models presented during the event were the new Cayenne range, variants of the Macan, Panamera, and fully electric Taycan. The 718 Boxster, 718 Cayman, and the legendary 911—including special versions like the 718 GT4 RS, 911 GTS, and 911 GT3—were also available for the guests to enjoy. Members of the Porsche Club Philippines and other supercar groups proudly paraded their vehicles around the venue. Completing the festive weekend mood were overflowing food and drinks served in outdoor and indoor dining spaces.

A good year for Porsche
According to Porsche Asia Pacific CEO Hannes Ruoff, the Philippines is one of the brand’s important markets in the region in terms of potential, growing volumes, and community of enthusiasts. Globally, the brand has had a great year, posting the highest recorded sales of roughly 240,000 units sold from Q1 to Q3, 10% higher than the previous year. Regionally, the Overseas and Emerging Markets, of which the Philippines is part, posted an impressive growth of 23 percent from the previous year.
