The GAC MOTOR Emzoom continues its winning streak, reinforcing its position as a market leader with a remarkable triple triumph.
Astara-led GAC MOTOR Philippines announces the arrival of the Emzoom Touring, which brings a new level of style and performance to the Emzoom line. Alongside this exciting development, the Emzoom has been declared No.1 in the 2024 China Automobile Quality rankings, highlighting the brand’s focus on delivering high-quality vehicles that meet customer expectations. Adding to these achievements, the Emzoom also received a 5-Star ASEAN NCAP Safety Rating in June 2024, proving it’s top-notch and proven reliability in safety, offering peace of mind for drivers and passengers alike.
Introducing the New Emzoom Touring
The Emzoom Touring is the upgraded edition of the Emzoom GB variant, featuring a sportier design with the addition of the R-Style Body Kit, center-mounted dual exhaust pipes, and a Touring badge. The new and dynamic look of the Emzoom Touring closely mirrors the premium aesthetics of the top-of-the-line R-style. Remarkably, with the enhanced exterior and added features, the Emzoom Touring will be offered at the same price as the current Emzoom GB, which remains at Php 1,098,000.
The Emzoom Touring is outfitted with a 1.5 TGDI engine, complemented with a 7-speed wet dual-clutch transmission (7WDCT), producing 174 horsepower and 270 Nm of torque. The interior features a leather steering wheel, a 10.25″ Multifunctional Touchscreen Display with Apple CarPlay and Android phone integration, leather seats, second-row air conditioning vents, and a rear USB port, to name a few.
The vehicle is equipped with features such as Cruise Control, Rear View Camera, Passive Entry Passive Start, Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), Hill-Start Hold Control, Hill Descent Control, and Electronic Parking Brake with Auto-hold.

Retail of the Emzoom Touring starts today, 19 August 2024. As with all GAC Motor vehicles, the Emzoom Touring comes with an after-sales warranty for the first five (5) years or 150,000 kilometers, whichever comes first.

The GAC Emzoom line continues to be celebrated in every market where it is sold. In the Philippines, the Emzoom vehicle line celebrated a significant milestone in June 2024, after reaching the 1,500-units sold mark by the eve of its anniversary launch on June 30, 2023.
GAC Emzoom is No. 1 in the 2024 China Automobile Quality rankings
The Emzoom’s popularity is also complemented by a proven mark of excellence, as it ranked No. 1 overall in the 2024 China Automobile Quality Ranking for the first half of 2024. This ranking for compact SUVs was conducted by aqsiqauto.com, an official website under China’s State Administration for Market Regulation. The prestigious ranking evaluated various models across 5 dimensions: defect complaints, defect risks, reliability, safety, and environmental performance.
The quality ranking is derived from the China Automobile Quality Network’s extensive data platform and takes into account environmental performance, in alignment with the Guidelines for Safety Risk Assessment and Risk Control of Automobile Products and the Guidelines for Judging Serious Safety Performance of Household Automobile Products, both issued and enforced by the State Administration for Market Regulation and the National Standardization Administration.
GAC Emzoom achieves 5-Star ASEAN NCAP Rating
The Emzoom also passed with flying colors in the New Car Assessment Program for Southeast Asian Countries (ASEAN NCAP). The GAC Emzoom is the first model under the GAC MOTOR marque to undergo the ASEAN NCAP assessment, and achieved an overall score of 88.39 points, earning the vehicle a 5-Star ASEAN NCAP rating in all the assessment categories. These include Adult Occupant Protection (AOP), Child Occupant Protection (COP), Safety Assist (SA), and Motorcyclist Safety (MS).
Aggressive Dealer Network Expansion
The brand is gunning for a total of 38 dealer outlets by year-end, and recently opened dealerships in Bacolod and Iloilo City in Western Visayas, General Santos City in Mindanao, Marilao in Bulacan, San Fernando in Pampanga, Santa Rosa in Laguna, and Sumulong Highway in Cainta. More establishments are set to open this year in BGC, Congressional Avenue, Fairview, Kawit, Mindanao Avenue, Sucat, Tacloban, Valenzuela City, and Zamboanga.
