Astara Philippines recently hosted an immersive drive event to introduce the line-up of JMC pickup trucks to be launched at the Manila International Auto Show. The event gave the attendees a first-hand experience of what the young brand had to offer.
Held in Tanauan, Batangas, the event showcased the cutting-edge technology and standout features of its
soon-to-be-launched flagship model, the Grand Avenue. With a 5th-generation PUMA 2.3-liter turbocharged diesel engine under the hood, the Grand Avenue delivers 175 HP and 450 Nm of torque. It is paired with a ZF 8-speed automatic with a select-shift transmission. It has a Borg Warner 4-Wheel Drive System that maximizes its powertrain and off-roading capability, industry-leading high ground clearance, and an extended wheelbase.
The JMC flagship pickup is the biggest in its class, with a large cargo volume of 1.35 cubic meters
and a spacious cabin measuring nearly 2m in width, and 1.9m in height. It also comes with advanced
driver-assistance systems (ADAS) that ensure convenience and safety across every road conquered. These include the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD), Electronic Stability Control (ESC/ESP), Brake Assist (BA), Hill Descent Control (HDC), Traction Control System (TCS), reverse cameras, and parking sensors, among others.
The Grand Avenue’s large and fierce front grille commands attention as its striking aesthetics extend seamlessly into its premium cabin, offering high-end features and plush comfort. These include high-quality leather seats, keyless entry and one-touch ignition, USB charging outlets, and a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The JMC Grand Avenue is priced between P 1,221,000 and P 1,569,000 and is available in six color options: Cosmic Grey, Pearl White, Silver Sand Black, Sandy Brown, and Shining Silver.
The drive also featured the JMC Vigus, the brand’s versatile and fuel-efficient pickup suited for business fleet solutions. The Vigus comes with a 4D25 2.5 turbo diesel engine that packs a punch with 128 HP and 315 Nm of torque. It also boasts a sleek exterior design, from its striking headlamps, down to the fine lines across its large body and wheelbase. With prices that start just under P 1,000,000 up to P 1,110,000, it is positioned to be the prime choice for individuals, business owners, and families seeking the best-value-for-money versatile workhorse. The Vigus is available in elegant white.
